I recently traveled to Steelville and Cuba, Missouri, to deliver a series of engaging vaping awareness presentations to middle and high school students in Crawford County.
The talks were part of an evidence-based vaping prevention program designed to teach students the real risks of vaping and give them the tools to make healthy decisions.
These sessions were made possible by the support of the 42nd Circuit Juvenile Division, which recognized the local need to address teen vaping.
Their commitment to youth wellness and prevention was essential to bringing this program to Crawford County.
Interactive and Educational for Students and Parents
Prevention education should be both effective and engaging. Each presentation used magic, illusions, and humor to hold students' attention while covering nicotine, THC, and the tactics the vaping industry uses to target teens.
Students responded with curiosity, laughter, and reflection. The sessions were student-centered and interactive rather than a lecture, encouraging real connection and critical thinking.
My goal is always to create a judgment-free space for honest conversations, so students can make better choices. This program is not just informative, it's transformative.

I also created an on-demand virtual presentation for parents. It covers what teens are vaping, why they start, the warning signs to watch for, and the steps to take if your child is vaping.
Parents can watch it anytime, which means families who could not attend a live session still get the full message.
This is part of every Dynamic Influence school program: students get the assembly, and parents get a presentation they can watch at home.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services shares tobacco and e-cigarette prevention information, and My Life, My Quit offers free, confidential quit coaching for teens, which Missouri promotes for youth who want to stop vaping.
