"Seeing Through the Vapor" Presentation for Parents of Crawford County Schools

Bringing Vaping Awareness to Steelville & Cuba, MO: An Interactive, No-Shame Evidence Based Vaping Awareness Prevention Program

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Steelville and Cuba, Missouri, to deliver a series of impactful and engaging vaping awareness presentations to both middle school and high school students. These presentations were part of an evidence-based vaping prevention program designed to educate youth on the risks of vaping while empowering them with tools to make informed, healthy decisions.

The presentations were made possible thanks to the generous support of the 42nd Circuit Juvenile Division, who recognize the urgent need to combat the teen vaping epidemic at a local level. Their commitment to youth wellness and prevention education was instrumental in bringing this programming to life.

Interact and Educational for Students and Parents

As an interactive, no-shame vaping prevention speaker, I believe that education should be both effective and engaging. That’s why each presentation infused magic, illusions, and humor to capture students’ attention while delivering serious messages about nicotine, THC, and the deceptive tactics used by the vaping industry to target teens.

Students responded with curiosity, laughter, and—most importantly—reflection. These were not boring lectures. They were dynamic, student-centered sessions that allowed for real connection and critical thinking.

To complement the student events, I also provided an on-demand virtual parent presentation designed to equip families with the knowledge and tools to support their children. Parents gained insight into what teens are vaping, why they start, what signs to watch for, and what to do if their child is vaping.

As a vaping awareness speaker in Missouri schools and for schools across the nation, my goal was to create a safe space for honest conversations—free from judgment—so students can make better choices. This evidence-based vaping prevention program is not just informative; it’s transformative.
